We are also proud to have been the first club in Northern Ireland to be awarded GymMark and Club Mark accreditation.

Rathgael Gymnastics & Trampolining Club (RGTC) was first established in 1976 and was situated in the Rathgael area of Bangor. It has since moved to its current location in Bank Lane, Bangor in 1984. 

We are currently situated in a small purpose built Gymnasium that includes Apparatus required for Artistic Gymnastics such as: Beams, Asymmetric Bars, Vault, High Bar, Rings, Parallel Bars, Tumble Track, Foam Pit and Small Floor Area.

Our objectives are to regulate, advance, develop and safeguard the interests in the Sport of Gymnastics (which incudes Women’s & Men’s Artistic, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Tumbling, Rhythmic, Recreational and Pre-school Gymnastics).

RGTC’s long term plan is to provide a centre of excellence for the Ards and North Down area.

We have had many success stories from each of our disciplines. Our Gymnasts have represented Ireland and Northern Ireland in Acrobatic Gymnastics, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and Tumbling. All at National and International competitions such as, Junior Commonwealth Games, UK school Games, Northern Europeans, IFSA Cup and All Ireland Championships. Our Men’s Team and Rythmic Team are very much in the early development stages, with some very exciting talented members.
