The club which has 600 members is keen to utilise the potential that the internet offers for communicating news of club success and ongoing development. The viewing figures to date show over 5500 page views since the relaunch in mid October, and the length of visits demonstrates that there is not just an interest in what the club are doing but that people are finding the club web experience to be very positive and enjoyable.
Â
The new site was designed and developed by Justin Black, NDCS.  Speaking about the project, Justin commented: “I am delighted that the site is working so well for the club, we have developed a great working relationship and it’s encouraging to hear of the positive impact it’s had in terms of increased membership and community interest. Search engine performance is excellent and will continue to ensure that the club is ranked highly on Google for searches on all club disciplines and activities. Particular attention was given to create a site that could be updated easily from any computer by non-technical staff with minimal admin time allowing Arlene and her team to spend more time running the club, not the website!“.
Â
Speaking about the project, club manager, Arlene Clarke said: “To say that the club is pleased with the new website is a huge understatement. Working with Justin was a jargon free, professional experience. All technical aspects of development, design and editing were explained in a real user friendly manner and I on behalf of the club have no hesitation whatsoever in endorsing the work of North Down Computer Services. The club also wishes to express their thanks to the National Task Force who funded the project as part of their continued and mutually profitable partnership with Rathgael Gym”.
