About Us

We are a registered, non-profit-making charity run by a dedicated team of volunteer Directors. All funds received are spent on the running of the gym and improving the club’s services and facilities.

Our Mission

Rathgael Gymnastics and Tumbling Club (RGTC) endeavours to promote the sport of gymnastics in Northern Ireland by offering an opportunity to all children to participate in gymnastics and progress according to their ability, as well as adults who participate in the sport. Affiliated to British Gymnastics, the Club provides facilities and offers classes in a variety of disciplines, including Artistic, Acrobatics, General Gymnastics, Rhythmic, Tumbling, Pre-School, Free Style and Cheerleading.

Our Gym

Rathgael Gymnastics and Tumbling club was first established in 1976 and in November 2012, moved to a purpose built state of the art facility in Saba Park, Bangor. It is now considered to be among the largest facilities in Northern Ireland with FIG approved equipment for every single apparatus for all gymnastic disciplines.

Our recreational programme is extremely successful, providing membership for all to participate in different disciplines of gymnastics. Our classes include Pre-school and primary, teens and even adults.  We have been building relationships with nursery groups, schools, cross community projects and disability groups for many years and pride ourselves on increasing participation and inclusion within the sport of gymnastics.

“We also re-invest in our coaches by providing on-going education and training.”

At RGTC, we prioritise the continuous development of our coaching team. We reinvest in our coaches by offering ongoing education and training, ensuring they stay abreast of the latest techniques and methodologies in gymnastics instruction. This commitment reflects our dedication to fostering a knowledgeable and skilled coaching staff that can guide our gymnasts to excellence.
